Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table Gets Anime Adaptation!

There is a light novel series called Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table. An announcement was made today that an anime adaptation is now being made for this light novel series. A teaser video has also been released for this anime.

This morning, a special announcement video was released, where voice actress Rie Takahashi provided the narration. The video was produced by Kafuu from Argument Studio. In the video, they introduced Yuki, the main character of the series. It also gave a quick look at the different deadly games Yuki has played throughout the light novel series so far.

Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table is a light novel series written by Yushi Ukai and designed by Nekometaru. The ninth volume of the series will be released in Japan on September 25, 2024. In addition, a manga based on this story is also being created, which is currently running in Kadokawa Shoten's Comp Ace seinen manga magazine.

Lite novel Story: Yuki wakes up in a strange mansion, wearing a maid's uniform, and lying on a fancy bed. She soon finds out that there are five other girls, all dressed just like her. They are in a place called the Ghost House, where the only way to survive is by getting through dangerous traps—like blowguns, saws, locked rooms, and weapons. 

It's a scary and hopeless situation for everyone, except Yuki. Why? Because at seventeen, this is her job. It might sound strange, and Yuki would agree, but some people make a living by playing deadly games like these.
