Good news for all anime fans headgear: the Patlabor EZ Anime release date has finally been announced, that this Anime will be released in 2026.


Announced in 2017, a pilot film on Patlabor EZ Anime was made in 2022 and shown in Japan. Nothing else has been revealed about this Anime except the main staff and the new teaser visual shown below.

This anime is based on the original work of HEADGEAR, Yutaka Izubuchi is the director of this anime who created it in collaboration with studio J.C. Staff. Kazunori Ito worked on the script and series composition of this anime, Takamitsu Sato is the character designer and chief animation director of this anime.



Patlabor EZY Anime Release Date

This anime which was announced today on 20 September 2024 will be released in 2026. Its fixed release has not been announced yet.


The "Mobile Police Patlabor" anime series originally began as an original video animation (OVA) in April 1988. The story is set in Tokyo in the late 20th century, where members of Special Vehicles Section 2 operate police robots called "Ingrams.”


These robots fight crime in a world where robots wearing the Tokyo Metropolitan Police's insignia on their chests patrol the city's streets. 


The series became a hit with OVAs, films, comics, and a TV anime, and is still loved by fans today, even though the real-world timeline has overtaken the story's timeline. It was also adapted into a live-action version directed and written by Mamoru Oshii.
