WITCH WATCH Anime Adaptation Confirmed for April 2025 Release!

Anime Staff and cast, plus a teaser visual and trailer were revealed!

On 19 Aug 2024, it was announced via an official website and X (formerly Twitter) account that Weekly Shonen Jump is doing an anime adaptation of the manga WITCH WATCH. The anime will be released first in Japan in April 2025, after which the anime will be released on the OTT platform or simulcast all over the world along with Japan.

The main cast and staff information of the "Witch Watch" anime has been made public. Along with this, a short teaser trailer and a key visual have also been released for the audience. This anime is a magical comedy series.

Nico Wakatsuki will be voiced by Rina Kawaguchi (known for Quan in Kizuna no Allele).

Morihito Otogi will be voiced by Ryota Suzuki (known for Ryusei in Dr. STONE).

Kanshi Kazamatsuri will be voiced by Kohei Amasaki (known for Will in Wistoria: Wand and Sword).

Keigo Magami will be voiced by Kaito Ishikawa (known for Naofumi in The Rising of the Shield Hero).

Nemu Miyao will be voiced by Tomori Kusunoki (known for Shizuka in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead).

This anime is based on a manga by Kenta Shinohara (sket dance fame), the name of this anime is 'Witch Watch'. This anime is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata (tonikawa: Over The Moon For You fame) and is being produced at Bilbury Animation Studio. The anime series is composed by Deko Akao, who has previously worked on the composition of The Case Study of Vanitas anime series. The characters are designed by Haruko Iizuka (Horimiya fame), and the music is composed by Yukari Hashimoto (A Sign of Affection).

Morihito Otogi's family has long been associated with the identity of the ogre, and his strength is a testament to that. One day, his father gives him important news—he has been asked to become familiar with his childhood friend, a teenage sorceress named Nico. He must live in the same house as Nico and keep her safe in every way possible. Meanwhile, Nico is happy to get to live with her favourite friend, even if her love for Morihito is unrequited. Morihito is extremely serious about his responsibilities, which can make romance difficult. But Morihito's seriousness has a reason, as Nico is threatened by a dark prophecy.
